  35. Carl, The VBS works very well for the price.  With the 4000 you will need 
  36. the Commodore A520.  This little box gives you the composite b/w video 
  37. signal necessary to make the VBS work.
  38.     Basically, you plug the 520 into your monitor output on the 
  39. Amiga. From there you hook up to a VCR, run the program and in a couple 
  40. of hours you can back up 80 megs of framestores. (I think with the latest 
  41. version, it is more.) The system is reasonably robust . . . I have never 
  42. lost any files with it.  It is not as simple as a Syquest removable, but 
  43. then again, it is not as expensive and uses regular videotape as the 
  44. storage medium.
